Dearest Squid ...

... will you marry me?

I just took a short trip up to the Cow and Calf, minded to investigate what this guy was carving. I think we should let him off his vandalism, don't you? This outcrop holds a valuable public historical record through its engravings.

It's all quiet in the flat. Dare I say that I'm enjoying the solitude?

I got a reminder today that I needed to finish a photobook, otherwise it will be too late. It's a clever business model, time-limiting these things, but I doubt I'd ever finish one otherwise. It put me into a panic, enslaving me to the computer all day. Sadly, every part of the process has been riddled with software bugs that doubled the length of time it should have taken. I've just taken a short break to clear my head. It hasn't helped that my cold seems to have returned. This is only the second book I've ever created and I'm not sure if I want to do another after this. It's too painful. I still love taking photographs. It's the bit that comes afterwards that I don't do so well. Trouble is that there's not a lot of point otherwise. It's a bit of a paradox.

Unfortunately, yet another blip and run. Back to the Photobox Grindstone!
