River Bovey

We went out for a walk with Marian's friend and her dog at Parke, which is an estate run by National Trust near Bovey Tracey on the fringes of Dartmoor. It's also the administrative centre for Dartmoor National park.

There are some lovely walks through woodland and some are on a disused railway line so very level. We walked out along the railway line and then back along the bank of the River Bovey. We stopped at the cafe for a cup of coffee and a piece of flapjack. There were plenty of people about and the cafe seemed even busier than it is in the midst of the summer holidays.

My blip is of the river rushing across the weir as we neared the end of our walk. I've converted it to mono because it all looked a bit brown. I've also added one from further along the river when there was just a momentary glimpse of sunlight.
