Life in Sunny Dubai

Penultimate day of the year

Today has been pretty non-stop.

First off, church service at Wonersh, which was fantastically led by the newly appointed temporary church secretary. It was a very well thought-out service all based around time and taking stock, with appropriate hymns to match. At the end of it, Gwen willingly posed for a picture with us. She turned 100 in November. So thrilled we saw her today as she hasn't been at the other services/events up to now.

We then met up with a lady whom we got chatting with at the end of Carols on the Green. We chose the Grantley Arms for ease of access and parked the car near the houses in my main image. We chatted for nearly three hours whilst tucking into a wrap with thick hand-cut chips!

Back home for about an hour before we had to dress up to drive over to Bromley for dinner at Eileen's with their usual group of friends. They managed to get 11 around the table. We had a lovely, relaxed evening with great food, company and music! Got home around 1am... Best journey back from there on very empty roads on a very clear night!
