A nuthatch returns

Another quiet day today. I ended up reading, listening and resting which led to a little sleeping. In the middle of the day I watched the birds from the dining room table ands even tried to record the mass of five male and four female bullfinches all flying around the feeders at once. At one point during their presence, I spotted this nuthatch sitting on a perch a couple of feet away, but the bullfinches kept it away from the food. We used to have quite a few nuthatches residing, and then bringing their young to gather our seed offerings, but this year their number has been very low with only occasional visits. I had to blip this one for the record.
