Elk in the Cornfield

I've heard stories about a herd of Elk in the area and I finally saw them for myself today!  I decided to drive west to look for a blip and I must have driven right past them because I didn't see them until I was headed back into town.  I was driving along and saw this mass of brown animals in a field on the other side of the road.  I quickly pulled over and made a U turn when it was safe - it's a busy road.  I had a camera and managed to get a few shots before the battery gave out.  My extra shows the whole herd.  That was exciting! :-))  Many thanks to Cailleach for Hosting Wild Wednesdays!
