Kail Stone

Post-Christmas backblip 4

Up through Thrunton Woods to Long Crag today - not a particularly long long or strenuous walk, but some great views from the top (extras), even on a dull day. On the way up we made a slight detour to the Kail Stone on which there are, supposedly, cup and ring marks. We could find none, but there was evidence that the stone is used by climbers. 

Lovely meal at Milan this evening - my pre-birthday celebration!

PS As far as I can tell, there are few reference to the Kail Stone on the internet, and most of those are about climbing...
