This Meetup walk with Peak District Walkers had 63 people booked onto it, a quite ridiculous number.  Thankfully only 48 turned up but it was still too many.

We should've started at 10.15 sharp but our esteemed leader decided to wait until 10.30 which was much too late for a 15 miler in winter... although even 10.15 would've been too late.

At the shortcut split-off place we worked out that we'd finish at about 6pm if we did the full distance, with a further 1.5 hours drive home, so we (and 20+ others) split.

The photo is of Ashopton viaduct over Ladybower Reservoir, with the fabulous Bamford Edge rising above.
