Waterwall Park, Houston

I was in Houston today. It was mostly a restful day, but it was warm and sunny so I made the most of it and went out for a walk. I couldn’t find much green space but I discovered a small park surrounded by skyscrapers with this waterfall.

Built in 1983, the waterfall is a 64 ft semi-circular architectural fountain recirculating 11,000 gallons of water per minute as it cascades down the inner and outer walls of the fountain. See first Extra for a view of the inside of the fountain.

I also met a delightful apricot poodle at the fountain! See second extra Her name is Mocha-Frappe. Isn’t she lovely? She’s a Moyan Poodle - a size between a standard and a Miniatire.
