A Walk with my Girls

As it was lovely to wake up this morning and see the beautiful countryside around Hadrian's Wall Campsite. It was pitch dark when we got here last night so we couldn't see anything!!
The weather tomorrow looks like it's going to be slightly brighter than today so Navigator Miss E (see yesterday's extra!) went with plan B and we decided to head to Kielder Water for a walk around the reservoir and a visit to the Wave Chamber which she thought sounded interesting!
The drive was beautiful - rolling hills, dry stone walls everywhere you look, skeletal trees, old railway lines and bridges (so much work and engineering to just be left to the sheep!) and the beautiful river North Tyne which meandered all way. Just lovely!!
Mr K needed to do a bit of work so stayed in Marshall while the Little Misses and I set off on our walk. Three miles round the reservoir, over the dam and through the gorgeous pine forests to the Wave Chamber.
I did get a bit cross because the Little Misses mostly walked ahead of me lost in their own world talking tactics of some fantasy computer game they play and I wanted them to take it all in an enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
But at least they were out and happy walking rather than sitting inside playing the computer game!
