The Red Tent

17th C.  Red for royalty.  Only surviving traveling military tent of its kind.. it’s thought to have been the home of Shah Jahan, the great 17th C Mughal emperor who built the Taj Mahal.    A rich and impressive cotton/silk velvet exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum’s Peacock in the Desert Exhibition.   We’ve seen it before but wanted to take the excellent docent tour with a charming Indian lady so inspite of the fact it’s a weekend and the second to last day of the show we took an Uber car (to test how how that works on my first try with it..-oh my we were there so early!) to the museum and enjoyed the tour with MANY others.   I had my Sony with me but nothing in the city inspired me to take photos.  We stopped at 2 department stores looking for one thing that was not found,  finally got a coffee at the 5th coffee shop we looked for that had a SEAT to sit on.  and had to get OUT of down town…trolley and walking.   Im sorry to say I didn’t join the women’s march today as in the past 3 years..feel a bit guilty but also remembering my 2019 thots of “more art, more music, less politics.. “

The only other photo I liked from today was back in our neighborhood HERE while looking for his cousin, that Great Egret.
