End of days...

It was a "mere" -18 when I walked to work. By the time we came back this evening, after dinner in town with RB and a colleague to whom she had introduced me, it was -23... It should be warming up again a bit tomorrow evening, but this type of cold is hard to take in any sort of quantity. This is colder than we ever had it in Helsinki last year, and the snow is lethal. Hard and packed, and very smooth where cars run over it. They could do with coming out and dropping some more grit on the pavements.

Useful quiet day. I figured out what I might do with a bit of a car crash of a paper. Then a meeting with the colleague above, which turned into drinks in the skybar in Torni where we were joined by Mr A (see extra for the station from the 27th floor) and then dinner (although we had a bit of fun and games finding somewhere to eat).
