We have had a most entertaining afternoon at this village on the border of Selby and York, watching a matinee performance of Cinderella.

Friend A (daughter of Corinthian Column) and her family moved here a few years ago. Coming from a village with an active am dram group she sought one here in N Yorks to join but having done so she found they didn’t have a tradition of doing pantomime.
So she decided to do something about it and, with others, has got a group together called the Deadpan Players to put on a panto, directing it herself. So Cinderella has been performed this weekend as the groups first production at a lovely theatre in Queen Margaret’s School. They have also raised a considerable amount of money for Candlelighters.

Well done A, I hope this becomes a tradition for your group and village from now on. Well be back!
