Dawn's Journal

Sunday Morning Walk

After a lazy few days, mainly spent indoors, I felt the need for fresh air, with maybe some watery scenes.  So I took myself off to a part of the Basingstoke Canal I hadn't visited before at Brookwood Country Park.

I walked a mile or so along the canal path towards Brookward to find a flight of 3 locks - the extra shows the gates for Lock 14, beyond which the canal continues on its way to Mytchett (my normal "stamping ground").

The main shot is looking the other way toward Knaphill and Woking, where the continues to join up with the River Thames at Weybridge via the Wey Navigation.
