Still nothing to report on the pontoon

It remains, as far as I know, unused. There is talk of a parking layby being built to cope with 'pontoon traffic' but I don't know if this is fact or fiction. And anyway pontoon traffic would presumably be on the river not the road

The tall crane in the background is working on a development of student accommodation. The flats will house many university students and they will have a lovely view of the river and the hills. I don't think the flats will add much in the way of architectural merit to the area. Student accommodation seems to be a guaranteed way to make money from building these days.

Beautiful sunny, frosty winter day. In fact icy underfoot. Enjoyed walking with the two dogs and Lottie earlier. More of the same later on. Need to phone the jurors' helpline this evening to see if I'm needed tomorrow.
