Kellett Lane

It rained in the night, the snow has gone, I should have gone swimming but did not want to miss out on a day on the canal with a blue sky.  Started at #138 Tewitfield Old Turnpike Bridge and ended up at #130 Kellett Lane Bridge.  Quite a lot  of people messing about on the river in their barges now we are on the navigable bit.  The last milestone said Kendal 17 miles, Lancaster 10, I'm over half way.  Went over the Keer Aqueduct which I could not photograph because I would have had to jump down 35 feet into the River Keer. It looked very impressive from peering over the top. First used  in 1797.
