Stationary 'Redhead'

A striking mane of auburn hair!
Auburn hair is often associated with Scottish people. Have you seen those terrible tartan bonnets incorporating a mop of red hair sometimes worn by football supporters? Red hair occurs naturally in one to two percent of the human population, appearing with greater frequency among people of northern or western European ancestry. The main reason redheads are rare is because being redheaded is a recessive trait. This means that both parents have to be a carrier of the redhead gene but they don't have to be redheads themselves.
