A lovely day!

It’s Jon’s birthday today, he’s a youthful, handsome 54, and so he took the day off work. Luckily for us, some friends from Linton are in the area for a weekend break and we were able to meet up for a very lovely couple of hours in Wells-next-the-Sea, for coffee, cake and lots of catching up. It also meant Henry was able to spend a couple of hours with his old Linton pal Sam, which was great for both of them. Time flew as we chatted, but we were so pleased to get this opportunity. Thank you Josephine (aka Ninjashoe) and Martin, and of course Sam for a lovely morning.

We drove home via Cley, where we stopped at the very busy bird watching place for some lunch. The weather had turned a bit cloudy, and it was very busy, so we didn’t stay. Home to see how Daniel had done today. He had an interview for a job as an Instructor at Hilltop which is an activity centre just up the road a bit from here. He said he thought it went well, and he’d like the job as it would develop quite a few more skills and give him some qualifications in the various activities they offer, including archery, climbing wall plus first aid.

They are at the gym now, so I’ve made a lasagne and am now waiting for them. Nothing planned for this evening.....birthdays just aren’t the same as you get older are they? But I did buy him some cherry Bakewell tarts.....his favourite!

A couple of extra photos if I can - one of us with the boys ( how did they get so tall) and one of the toilet door!! I knew you’d be pleased with that.....
