The Edge of the Wold

Big dipper

The sun sets in a dip in Newton Fell on the opposite side of the valley to the scarp above Witherslack Woods where we were stood. Wifie and I had been for a walk around Yewbarrow with Sue and Alison, and of course Gus's best friend Rowan. Before that Alison had served us the perfect Sunday lunch, while we heard about Sue's adventures in Sri Lanka, and reminisced about our shared stays on Raasay.

Photos like this are a nightmare for my sensor spots, I must get the camera cleaned.

Back blipped on Monday 18th February. Another mild day when I saw my first frog and bumblebee of the year, went for a bleed, and Gus had yet another tummy upset (looking settled as I write this).
