Walking on the Walls

This morning I combined my two previous pre-breakfast walks and walked by the river and back via Rowntree Park.  When I got back I had to wake BB up for breakfast.  He paced himself today, no cereal – which allowed him to max out on everything else.  We then packed up and deposited our luggage before going for a  river walk – the first morning when the river was probably back to its normal level.  The path was very muddy in places, but it was a lovely morning and a lovely walk.  BB then had a few things he wanted to do, which included visiting a Harry Potter shop on The Shambles.  He stood looking at wands for ages!!  He also wanted to buy a Lego set – but couldn’t decide which one – that took rather a long time.

We decided to buy a few things for a late picnic lunch on the train, and before we knew it we were on the train heading home.  No Irish card game on this journey – instead young lads hoping to join the army.  TT met us at Waverley and we all headed home together for tea and a quiet evening.

Here is BB walking on the city walls,  The extra is of a sculpture I came across with a lady holding a Terry’s chocolate orange.
