Mighty Mekong

Seems only right that this trip should end with the mighty Mekong, the delta from the flight from Da Nang to KLIA2. I wonder if the water I saw in Luang Prabang or Ventiane has reached the delta yet?

It was a day of travelling. Da Nang international airport has a system for immigration control that results in long, hot queues. Once funnelled through a single portal you can be Vietnamese, ASEAN or a Foreigner. Ah well that's me told. And airports in Vietnam (or Lao) have not discovered that airports are doing malls with planes. They just do planes.

And Air Asia has a very v small seat pitch and I didn't preorder dinner but good views of the Mekong and then later the east coast of Malaysia, Redang Island and Kuala Terengganu and just before landing Port Dickson on the west.

Identifying my Grab in the melee outside KLIA2 was a struggle but I got back just after 6 and then we can all went to Monnalisa for pizza and pasta. Amelia was much taken with the classic red Fiat on display.
