Straight road

Today we drove to Riebeeck Kasteel - first along long stretches of straight road, tarmac and gravel, then through mountain passes - see extra - this would be much better labelled The Valley of Desolation.

Now settled in comfortable and well equipped lodgings, we've eaten at a local restaurant that serves Italian food with a definite South African twist, making plans for the next few days.
