SUNDAY FUN

In the morning I watched the silly images in the galleries, had fun and commented on most of them. Tomorrow I will finish it.
Then we walked to the Fondamente Zattere, sat down at the quay and drank our espresso.
It was obvious this Sunday would be a quiet day. The weather still good, but not as sunny as the earlier days.
We walked till we reached the church San Trovaso, peeped inside for a moment and decided to walk to the Sestiere S.Polo and wander there around. Admiring the little canals, the houses more or less derelict, the churches as there are The Frary, The Pantalon and the San Giacomo dell Orio. We had a meal at the Ganesh restaurant and sat there at a tiny terrace right at the canal.
The nicest hour we had at the Campo near the Orio church, a splendid campo, where we listened to live music by a gitarist, there were children playing and cycling on tiny bikes, a wonderful relaxed atmosphere.
We sat on a bench, everybody sat on benches.
Then we walked to the Fermata at the Riva de Blasio and took the vaporetto nr.1 which goes all the way through the Canal Grande and
watched the buildings go by, the Rialto Bridge and the Accademia Bridge, then the Palazzo Ducale and for a moment we considered to stay at the boat till the Lido, but decided against it, because at the Lido one has to walk quite a distance before one reaches the beach and see the sea.
We left the boat at the Biennale and almost immediately we took the vaporetto nr,5 to the Zattere.
The Fondamenta Zattere was full of people, but not as many as there were yesterday. We had been there too, and had watched the sunset, a spectacular event. In the extras I show a photo of it.
My main photo shows a gondola at the Canal Grande.
