A time for everything

Spring must be coming!

We spent much of the morning on the phone, firstly with Laura, then with my brother and sister-in-law, discussing plans for the summer. It gets so complicated trying to organize our summer, working our plans around Jen and Laura’s available times, around family events in England - this year a wedding and a renewal of vows, and other family members vacations! It will be an early summer trip this year, leaving here late May. We’re going to start our trip with a week in the Scilly Isles - where we went for our honeymoon 42 years ago, and haven’t returned to since! That much is planned and booked! We also hope to spend a few days on the island of Anglesey once we have the “girls” with us. Then there will be the wedding (in the York area), the renewal of wedding vows (in the New Forest), and then we plan to go over to Italy for a couple of weeks, also with Jen and Laura. It’s beginning to come together, but still a lot of details to sort out. I had my bible study at 1.30 till 3.00, then afterwards Roger picked me up - we only had one car today, as his was in at the garage today - and we went for our usual walk around Sharon Woods, to enjoy another day of sunshine. Spring must be on its way, as they had clearly just put the pedal boats back in the water, and they were still busy pressure washing the metal rowing boats. They also rent out kayaks, so we must do that sometime. I got some other photographs, but I liked this colourful row of boats and the promise of warmer weather they remind us of!
