Life through the lens...

Along the towpath

Another lovely sunny morning, so we decided to drive over to Pocklington and give the car a good run out.
After parking at the canal head we walked along the towpath to Melbourne, where we stopped for a picnic, sat by the waters edge.
It is always such a peaceful walk.
Birds singing along the way.
Saw my first peacock butterfly, and two sets of swans nesting.
They had both picked good spots, almost hidden by the reeds.
Three eggs in one nest.

On the way back we had a surprise blipmeet with Jankerman.
We haven't met before, but it was the three black labradors that I recognised.
We stopped for a chat, before carrying on our way back to the car.
Very nice to meet you J.
After 9 miles and the drive home we are both feeling quite tired.
Decided on a collage of our walk for my blip today.

A lovely flower arrangement from son  A. was waiting for me when we got home, along with a spice rack which will hold about 40/ 50 jars.
Just what I wanted. Will get Mr C to fasten it onto the wall tomorrow.
Then younger son J. called round with a bouquet of roses.
So nice to see the house full of flowers.

Happy Mother's Day to all .
