Life's Little Moments

Desperate Times...

...require desperate measures.  While today is sunny and warm, the winds are gusting to 40 MPH so putting the hide up is out of the question.  And, really, it's awfully early for insects.  However, as I poked around in the daffodils in my garden, I spied this Marmolated Stink Bug trying to catch some solar heat on a flower bud.  Macro lens in hand, I twisted the bud this way and that, while the little bug hung on for dear life.  Eventually, he tired of the game and dropped down into the mulch, invisible to human eyes.

Errands and gym (3 miles) today.  Then a little clean up around the yard (not as much as needed, but a start).  Should be doing some office work, but am quickly talking myself right out of that.

Phoebe is definitely showing little signs of improvement although she is way to unsteady to be allowed free range of the house.  So, she's exiled to either our bedroom or the sanctuary.  Charlie likes to pay her little visits (mostly because a closed door always needs to be breached if one is a cat).  Usually the visits devolve into the two of them smacking each other on the head, but Phoebe gives as good as she gets.

Nothing else of import on the Lane today.  Thank you so very much for stopping by.
