Passing the baton

For getting on for forty years making the birthday and other celebration cakes has been my job. I'm not an inventive cake maker but I can manage a decent sponge. As it was Cameraman's birthday on Friday we had a wee tea party today to mark the occasion. Our younger son offered to make a cake and I accepted the offer very gladly. Here it is with the three year old decorating it with sugar unicorns. Of course.

Our elder son and his partner came bearing home made chocolate mousse (secret ingredient avocado) and L brought her dad a bottle of cask strength Talisker so everyone was well provided for.

It's like winter here. Really cold and grey. Glad we had a jolly tea party to brighten the day.
