Golden Reflection

As highs today breached the 60F mark, a slight haze allowed the dying sun to glisten its golden light across the water giving a wonderful atmosphere to this image.

I bracketed the shot and then made further exposures several stops lower trying to avoid burning out the sun. However, combining the images in LR produced an unnatural looking image with halos. I could probably have been more successful in PS.

In the end I used one frame and cropped out the sun which I think is quite successful anyway. Must remember to do this in the field! Also forgot the thumb over the sun trick - note to self.
