A view from Jeanneb

100

years of Betty’s tea rooms - a Yorkshire institution.

Went along the Grove in Ilkley to see if the lovely, ethereal pale pink blossom was out. No I’ve missed it either that or it has been caught by the frost. I could only see one or two tiny pink flowers amongst the brown.
Never mind what better than Betty’s Easter window and it’s celebration of 100 years since it was established.

We had tea and the went to the cinema to see ‘Fisherman’s Friends’ (Chris said we were there to see the Victory V’s to the girl at the bar - she didn’t get it!)
Normally we go to a teatime viewing and eat afterwards but to get the seats we like we had to go later today and eat first.

It was a good ‘feel good’ film and interesting that it was based on a true story.
