Last day of the storm.

The rains died before sunrise. We've only had very light drizzles in few occasions.

We took a walk to the Pasarela at the lighthouse of Santa Pola. It was quite beautiful and calm after the storm. Nice to see puddles all around. I wished I'd seen a snake swim in one of those, but we didn't see much living creatures apart from few people. Lots of birds singing in the trees, but none in sight.

It will be so good to get to normal weather tomorrow and finally be able to do laundry! No use doing laundry if can't get anything dry.

The island you see in the horizon is Tabarca. It belongs to Alicante city even if Santa Pola is so much closer. It's considered rural Alicante city. They have few local polices there and their own little police station. I've always wondered if the police stay there for the tourists and the few local people who live there (about 50 people) or if they actually belong to the Alicante City police squat and they just get a shift at Tabarca once in a while. I could image it would be a great gig during summer, but with the storm we had it could feel like the waves would go over the little island many times over.
