Nor' West Sky over High Street

A sky like this is the start of the Nor' West wind. A warm wind which comes howling from the mountains, down across the Canterbury Plains and along riverbeds whipping up huge amounts of dust, sending washing over to the neighbours if its not pegged down tightly.

Back in the late 1800's and early 1900's the wind would've roared down High Street, men would've been wearing their hats low across their faces and holding them tight, while ladies were gathering their skirts and dragging children across the dusty road, horses and dogs would become unsettled until it had passed by heading out to sea in the East.

Today it unsettles everyone, its hot and still dusty with large amounts of pollen in the air, affects peoples moods, causes health issues like migraines and sinus, and children are most restless and moody at school - theres not many people who like a hot Nor' West wind.

This is a backblip but you can see  here, it was still hanging around the next morning but was no longer over High Street.

High Street is my One Street challenge - the rest of the series can be viewed here, hope the link works :)
