The 3 Amigos go on a hike

Today we walked about 15 miles from Horton-in Ribblesdale to Kettlewell, in Wharfedale. It proved reasonably strenuous as the route involved 2 significant ascents and descents and the weather was a little inclement at times, but we still had a good time.

Having discovered yesterday that the Amigos had stowed away with us, I realised that they'd have to accompany us on our hike. Most of the way the Amigos travelled warm and dry in my backpack, but quite early in the hike before the rain started, when we were on a part of the Pennine Way, I heard a rumpus in my backpack and realised that the Amigos wanted to come out for a while and see where we were going. When they saw the signpost for the Pennine Way they reckoned it would boost their street cred to be photographed on the sign - hence today's blip. You can see Pen-y-Ghent mountain in the background (fortunately our route skirted round its shoulder rather than making us climb over the top...and anyway I've climbed it twice before!).

Storm Hannah is due to hit the UK overnight so we might chicken out of our planned walk tomorrow and take a bus or taxi to our next destination, but we'll decide in the morning when we see what the weather is actually like.
