Silver swan automaton, Bowes Museum

Our planned trip to Teesside today was cancelled due to illness - not ours (we are getting better), but that of the people that we hoped to visit. Nevertheless, we still headed south.

I drove the three of us over the Pennine moorland to Barnard Castle. Here we stopped for lunch in town, then spent a happy afternoon wandering around the exhibits at Bowes Museum and listening to a series of medieval music performances in the galleries.

My blip is of the famous silver swan automaton.

Exercise today: none.
