Tyres Pumped

It's the British Champs this coming weekend so the only opportunity we have to support the Tour de Yorkshire is tomorrow.  With that in mind, we have decided to go out and see the women come through near Leathley in the morning.  So it's out with the bikes and a check over so that we can park up in Otley and cycle out looking for a good spot to wave our Yorkshire flag.

Meanwhile I'm watching the first stage from Doncaster to Selby on the tv and the weather has not been kind to them with intermittent heavy showers. The rain jackets have been off and on and there has been a couple of nasty crashes on the slick roads, but the usual spectators are out in force and there have been some great pictorial celebrations of the event.  It's just a pity about all the ad breaks - a lot of ground is covered in four minutes by these guys and so whole sections are missed.

The commentator has just told the story that in the first year the Europcar team missed their feed station because they were all lined up on the right hand side of the road, and their support team was on the left!
