Stepping Out- Standing Up

May Day always means it’s the annual Ilkley Carnival that starts with the parade and walks along the Grove and down to the fields next to the river.
As always there was a good turnout of both participants and spectators.
Standard was as good if not better than ever.
I’ve added a collage in extras.
All three granddaughters have taken part in the past but today they were spectating too before going down to the field to go on the rides, eat street food and watch the judging.
We came home after the parade and have just spent the last hour searching for the bunch of keys that lock the shed and side entrance to the garden.
I last had them on Saturday when l did the naked gardener shot and must have got so giddy l hung them up in the wrong place :-(
Could tell Mr P was a tad annoyed with me as he needed the keys to get the tools to valet the car - not because he said anything but because he was humming cheerful tunes over and over ( you know the signs when you’ve been together a long time).
