Simply Red

The news from the Arboretum gardens is this: the large tulip display near the Sundial is now slightly past peak. The tulips are starting to lose their petals, and the blooms are faded and falling on the tall, weird, wonderful fritillaries. My pal Tiny Tiger and I are glad we visited early and often!

But in the children's garden, Childhood's Gate, there is a red riot in progress. There are several stands of bright red tulips that are simply delightful. They are perfectly open, and perfectly wonderful. They are like a river of fire. Here is a shot of those tulips, with the Glass House in the background.

The song is Warrant, with I Saw Red.
