Arches National Park

This morning we were all downstairs in the Hotel lobby at 0200, only to find that it was raining/supposed to rain most of the night, eliminating our chances for star photography. We discussed it, and we all went back to bed until breakfast time. After we'd all eaten it was on to Arches and had a steep hike up to Delicate Arch, taking photos on the way up and down--a good way to catch your breath. We also took a long hike back into Broken Arch--very windy, overcast, and cool when we started out, but it warmed up enough to take off our jackets. Before we left (it was about 4:00) we stopped at Fiery Furnace overlook, where I took the main blip. I loved the fog off in the distance & the variety of landscape colors and textures. I put one extra in of one of the few blooming cacti (it's still a bit early) and a little lizard I found! Thanks so very much for all the stars and hearts left on my pictures--still no time for commenting, as we're going out to shoot stars tonight to make up for missing them last night. Have to be downstairs at 1:30 in the morning, and won't be back until a late breakfast. And then I'm sorry to say our workshop will be over. :((
