Wild

No coincidence perhaps that today's 'wildlife' blip comes from the same, rather overgrown part of the garden as yesterday's.  At my feet our 'pond' full of Bogbean (a mistake!) and tadpoles, the surrounding patch full of aquilegias, irises and geraniums.  The sunlight behind the flowers of the Mourning Widow, Geranium phaeum lit them beautifully.  The bumbling bee flitting from flower to flower a welcome extra.

Mostly a garden day.  Lots of weeding and some greenhouse pottering.  A trip to the allotment to cut asparagus to go with lunch coincided with a torrential downpour.  So glad I was distracted and delayed as I prepared to set off - I'd have been out on my bike otherwise!
