Lido

We were up not too late and had coffee while suffering from the sins of last night. Me at least.
Our plans for this Sunday were to go to the antique furniture warehouse in Schlesische Strasse and look for a storage piece for our living room.
We had the measurements and want something that is different to what we already have.
Our flat is an odd mix of styles. Antiques, 50ies, 70ies, 80ies and 90ies ..... so we need something else for not giving any era or style dominance.

We walked first over the flea market at Marheineke Platz, had a coffee at Chapter One, then took the U-Bahn to Schlesisches Tor.
We stopped at the photo automat for one of our obligatory photos, then walked on to the warehouse.
We bought a few pieces there already and the owner knows us as returning customers.
We found two interesting pieces. One 19th danish sideboard quite chunky and worn and a very odd danish closet from the 1830ies or older, full oak.
It's 150 cm high and has a drawer on the top (never seen something like that before!) and huge storage underneath. It is a really strange piece of furniture.
We took measures just to make sure they would fit and told the owner, that we will come to the shop the next few days to let him know.
On the way back we stopped at 19 grams for another coffee and some beans, then went home. We both were tired.
At home I looked at my photos and we started thinking about food.
We were not hungry all day, but that was changing.
We decided to try the Greek restaurant in Friesen Strasse, Claudia had recommended.
It was nice but I ordered more than I could eat.

Tomorrow back to work ...... but Jack is in Hong Kong, so I shall have peace in the afternoons .....

Blipping the Lido Club in Schlesische Strasse. Really need to go to one of their Indie Nights!
