Step we gaily

Up town to sign stuff and back via Söderberg. And Artisan Roast. As you do.
And a call in at Waitrose to find my old colleague Burdensome Steve offering the punters free Howgate Blue and oatcakes. Part of World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, he informed me. Hence the skirt, perhaps.
Then a spell of gardening and a trip over to the boat to pick up some tools.
But oh dear, what a racket on the local social media. Tools indeed. As this is a totally private site, free from prying eyes, I can state the problem clearly. The mad old bat woman with bees in her bonnet (the wrong end of every bee guaranteed) managed to copy an email, containing some rather derogatory comments about a leading local councillor (who we wish and need to curry favour with), to…. yes indeed, the very same local councillor. Oh Lordy. Luckily I hadn’t chipped in, but the whole thing rather blows apart our nimbyism which we’ve so skilfully dressed up and packaged as concern for the environment and heritage.
Out later to see Beats along at Vue. And rather good indeed: small scale, but so very well played, particularly Fido and his brother Spanner. That thumpy music will never catch on, mind.
