Life's Little Moments

Wild Thing

Wild thing, you make my heart sing
You make everything groovy, wild thing
Wild thing, I think I love you
But I wanna know for sure
Come on and hold me tight
I love you - The Troggs, 1966

Well, you know I can't resist a little bug-porn...and what's better than a couple of crazy-in-love hoverflies?  I've actually never seen the male tucked in over the female quite like this.  And, if'd like a little arachnid-cuteness, click HERE for a very adorable jumping spider with big button-eyes.

Mom, Dad and I went for a walk this morning on one of my favorite trails - very nice way to start the day.  Afterwards, Dad worked on the wiring on my car to make sure it it connects properly to the RV signals, brakes and lights.  A much bigger job than he was expecting, but it is done.  Mom and I chummed the chippies, pottered around outside and just enjoyed chatting.  I love spending time with my parents.

Mom and I discussed the naming of the patio chipmunk, weighing all of the great suggestions and ultimately landed on Xena (the Warrior Princess) as it seems to suit her very well.  Today, she stared down an invader on the patio, waited until his back was turned and charged him - totally hilarious to see. Anyway, thank you to everyone who suggested names - so many great choices to pick from.

Oh, and this morning, the pair of bluebirds showed up and started putting nesting material in the box in my patio garden!  Total shocker as usually by now there are large babies getting ready to fledge.  No complaints from me, but I do wonder why they are so late this year.

The air-con repair people had to postpone us until tomorrow but have assured me the guy will be here at 7 AM.  Let's hope he can fix it same day.  We'll see.

Off to dinner tonight - casual and informal.
