Trees

I wonder what they are communicating about.   I think our forests (and their world) would do just fine if we humans left them alone.  Over the long run, they can handle droughts, fires and pests. This doug fir has been around far more than my generation —(maybe 300 years?)

But it is a dilemma as wood is so good ( and seemingly irreplaceable) for building so many things.

Yes, I just today finally finished the epic “The Overstory” by Richard Powers, …so many stories about so many trees and 9 human beings who start out separate and grow older and involved with each other in different ways.   It’s a good story and actually feels somehow optimistic to me..

Trying to clean up the studio..didn't get too far. (no concentration) ..I   Verdi"s Don Carlo on the Sat radio Opera.
