Bergerac II

Tom and Rachel set off for Bordeaux ready for their flight home tomorrow.  We took a taxi to Bergerac to have a few hours wander.  Being a Monday a few of the shops were closed but the important places, coffee shops and restaurants were open.  We had planned on a river trip but a lot of improvement work is going on along the river so the boat was not running.

We found a nice place for a coffee then had a look around the medieval town centre before having a very good lunch.  The weather was not quite so warm as yesterday, but still in the mid/high 20s.

We had a walk over the bridge to some riverside parkland.  The river reflections were good from there, this is a view of some of the houses by the bridge.

On return back to the accomodation we went next door to the other gite where Emma and Andy had arrived and we all had an alfresco pasta and cheese tea on the patio.
