No daughter's wedding......

......is complete without traditional cheese and carrot puffs!  Which is why the treasured recipe has been blipped just in case it goes missing in transit to the States!

My mother was a great fan of Woman's Weekly and we enjoyed lots of their recipes as children, both sweet and savoury.  When Tony and I married, Mum put on a huge spread at their house which included cheese and carrot puffs.  They have been baked for children's parties; friends' do's; funerals, ceilidhs, Christmases; Hobbler get togethers; orienteering events and Jenny and Pete's Wedding where their enjoyment spread to Pete's family.  They are now a regular at their get togethers too.

On Friday both families and friends will be gathered in a strange kitchen in a large B&B in the Berkshire Highlands cooking Tony's apple pies and cheese and carrot puffs amongst many other delights (Jenny is making the cakes!) for Becky and Rob's wedding this weekend!

You can probably tell that the recipe has withstood spills and scrapes, hot kitchens and fraught tempers over the years, but there's a lot of love in there too....

We are all in agreement that Granny Elsie made the best cheese and carrot puffs.
