Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Live Tall

Lovely day for a row and a view of these 2 tall ships ( a bit far away for my lens) moored next to Galiano Is, full of noisy youngsters (13-25yo)  having fun jumping overboard (this water is COLD!)  These 2 belong to SALTS (Sail and Life Training Society)   Pacific Swift and Pacific Grace. It’s always a thrill to see them go by under full sail.

Our friends left midday on their boat heading north, we had a rest,  played with photos (me) and stacked more wood. :-)

Extra..a pileated woodpecker out the kitchen window.  they have hugely long tongues that start at the "nose" and wrap around their scull and come out their mouth... Here's just a bit of it.  It can go far in to this tree...
