Heading homeward

Battery failure on the Lumix meant that I needed to have recourse to the camera in my iPhone. This was the view facing me after crossing Grafton Bridge, and starting along Karangahape Road.

Earlier in the day I had the slightly odd experience of attending a joint Consultative Committee meeting. Representatives of the senior doctors union with ADHB management. As one of the ADHB management attendees. This is the union I helped to form in the late 1980s, and was its second President.

Some of the issues being discussed were on our agenda 20 years ago. In a way it is comforting that things we couldn't resolve back then, still haven't been sorted. And the world hasn't ended as a consequence.

I've just added as an extra a photo I took this morning as I went through the domain to get to the unit. The low battery meant that the camera wasn't able to adjust to the unusual light. Nevertheless, cropped right down, I quite like this.
