Two of a kind

OK, you've seen them both before - but probably not together!

Primula vialii again, the red-hot poker primula from - and I quote - wet meadows, or near water in high valleys of SW Sichuan and northern Yunnan in southern China. The white form, 'Alison Holland', was discovered as a chance seedling in John Holland's garden in Northumberland and introduced at Chelsea in 2016.

Both wonderful, but not permanent as perennials.

I may not have the usual variety of Blips for a while. Mrs M and our younger daughter are away for ten days and I'm at home without a car! I'll do my best! Raining today, so I haven't been beyond the garden.
