Double-crested Cormorants

Sharing a chuckle on Silly Saturday.  Many thanks to Admirer for hosting!  My first extra is another pose and the second is the the walkway to this nature area.  The metal roof has bird cutouts in it and it casts these great shadows when the sun is in the right place. :-)

I am grateful to be inside the cool house after being outside in the heat this morning!  Our neighbors invited us to their open house/BBQ this afternoon but they have no shade in their yard.  My deck thermometer says 103 in the shade so I don't think we're going to make it.
