Wombled natural Himalayan salt lamp

We celebrated our wedding anniversary of last Thursday today. The initial plan was to simply to go out for lunch, but on our way to Taisteal in Stockbridge we discovered that several gardens in the New Town would be open later in the afternoon as part of Scotland's Garden Scheme. So, after a lovely meal, we spent a couple of happy hours visiting other people's gardens, talking to their owners, and discovering new plants that we could perhaps encourage to grow in the space at the front and back of our own flat.

Unfortunately while we were out my iPhone ran out of power (it's rather temperamental these days), and I didn't have my camera on me, so I was unable to take any photographs in the gardens.

Instead my blip is of a natural Himalayan salt lamp that I wombled from beside a bin on Dublin Street. I'm not sure that it really 'fits' in our house. However, when we were in Crombies on the way home after our tour of the gardens, the lady on the till said that her son would love the lamp if we decide not to keep it. I may well deliver it to her next week.

Exercise today: walking (11.446 steps).
