On The Road Again . . . Day 5

This morning we had to cook breakfast which went okay.  Clean up and hit the road.  Today was off to Waitomo Caves and Rotorua.  Another frosty morning and fog was thrown into the driving mix.  Also a bridge was being repaired so a detour meant we lost time.  The Waitomo Caves are a slick operation and our vistors were put on a later tour.  We had a welcome cup of coffee and a sit down.  The blip is the Arapuni Swing Bridge.  It is a hidden gem on the Waikato River Bike Trails.  It was built in 1925 so workers could reach the Arapuni Power Station.  We had just enough time to visit the Kiwi at Rainbow Springs in Rotorua then get the visitors to Tamaki Tours for their cultural evening.     Out and on the road south  and drive through the fog to Taupo.  Collapse into bed again.
