Happy Mike!

Small celebration for Mike's 65th, made special by having Deb and the grandkids, plus his brother and wife came up from the south for it. You'll notice the writing on the cake is missing the word "birthday" - the icing tube had obviously dried up and just couldn't squeeze anymore out. The kids thought it was very funny, especially when we sang "Happy Mike to Birthday..." instead of the usual.

Then we all went off to the marquee in the field of a farmer from our church, where we had the annual summer cabaret, think there were around 27 acts, some really very good, including a couple by our s-i-l, Sam, see extra. And an excellent BBQ in the interval.

A not so good part of the day was the small accident we had as we turned into our driveway, and our neighbour turned out of his and backed into us, not yet sorted, hoping it causes no ill feeling...

Gratefuls:
- seeing a bit of rain, not proper, but wonderful to see moisture falling, almost wondered if it was still possible!
- for all the years Mike and I have shared together, more than half his life now
- that only the cars got damaged, and how kind Mike's brother and wife have been about it (it's their car)
